to Jackpaw6 : Mmm... how to describe... 1st, I misspelled it, gimbal. they are the hand-held stabilizer bars you see use with many cellphone shots. Like a gyroscope it makes for smother shops and allows the videographer to have a less shaky shot. In Hollywood, if you've ever seen someone walk up a wall or across a ceiling, the gimbal setup of the room itself moving around the actor instead of the actor moving around the room. Sorry for the geek-out (see Poltergeist (ca 1981-2) or Fred Astaire 'Dancing on the Ceiling' clip.
